Fall is right around the corner which means a new season for fresh fruits and vegetables. Eating by the seasons ensures you get fresh produce to enjoy for all your fall recipes. Here are some of the best fall fruits and vegetables to add to your shopping list.

Apples

There are so many varieties of apples to pick from in the fall season. It’s also easier to find locally grown apples in the fall. Apples are great for pies, sauces, or sautéed for dishes.

Beets

Beets are a great fall vegetable that can be roasted and topped onto a salad, eaten cold or warm on the side.

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are a fall must have, there are so many varieties of ways to cook them. They can be baked whole, cut up and roasted, and great for sweet potato pie.
