Gluten-Free Candy Cane Sugar Cookies

It’s the season to indulge in Christmas cookies. These cookies are soft and chewy, while also gluten-free. Here is my gluten-free candy cane sugar cookie recipe.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

1 1/2 cup raw natural cane sugar

1 Teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking power

2 cups gluten-free flour

1 cup peppermint (crushed candy canes)

Directions

Preheat oven to 325

In a large mixing bowl combine the butter and sugar. Add the vanilla, salt, and egg and mix together. Add the baking powder and flour and mix together. Last, add the peppermint.

Place spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Bake 9 minutes or until light brown around the edges. Let them cool for a few minutes and then enjoy.
