Tips For Staying On Track While Traveling

Traveling doesn’t have to mean you lose all the progress you have made at home. There are several ways to consciously eat and still enjoy your time while traveling. Having a plan that you can stick to will make your trip more enjoyable without the stress of losing any progress that you have made. Here are some tips for staying on track while traveling.

Have A Workout Routine

Most hotels have some type of gym that you can use. Make a plan of when you can fit in a workout everyday. This way you will be more likely to stick to the schedule you have set. It can be a quick 30 minutes of weights in the gym along with getting at least 10k steps while you’re out exploring.

Move More

Make a plan to walk more while traveling, this can help offset some of the over indulging you might do. Walking is a great way to explore a new place. If you’re by a beach you can take a relaxing walk without it feeling like you’re doing a strenuous workout everyday.

Plan Your Meals

Having an idea of what you’re going to eat for the day can help you plan the amount of calories you will consume. This can help you eat less and stick to your calorie goal for the day. A good way to not feel deprived is to eat light during the day and indulge at dinner.

Hydrate

We know traveling itself dehydrates you. Drinking plenty of water will help you feel full longer and curb food cravings. A lot of times we can mistake hunger for thirst. Keeping water with you at all times will make it easier to keep up with your water intake.

Limit Alcohol

We all know that alcohol is empty calories and not great for your waistline. At the same time you want to enjoy yourself on vacation. A good way to have your drink without feeling like you’ve gone completely off-track is to make your drink your treat for that meal. Instead of a drink and dessert, you chose just the drink. This will help you save a lot of calories overtime.
