Tampa is Florida’s third largest city and has a lot to explore, it’s close to several beaches, and the weather is great year round. Life revolves around the water in Tampa and is one of the most populated areas in Florida. There are many local attractions, including multicultural cuisines, fresh seafood, some of the best steakhouses, and more.

Tampa Riverwalk

Located in the heart of downtown, the riverwalk is a great way to explore the city on foot or bike with incredible views along the water. It’s a 4.8 mile out-and-back trail.There are restaurants and bars along the way as well.

Busch Gardens

The entertainment park is located 10 miles from downtown tampa. It’s a safari park as well as a roller coaster park. It’s less crowded than Orlando parks, making it easier to enjoy more rides. 

Florida Aquarium

The Florida Aquarium focuses on sharks and sea turtles and has a lot of sea animals. It has been rated one of the best aquariums in the U.S., having a wide variety of aquatic and terrestrial animals.

Amalie Arena 

Located in downtown Tampa, this is where ice-hockey, basketball, and concerts are held. It’s mainly used for the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team.

Hyde Park Village 

An upscale outdoor shopping center with a mix of shopping, restaurants, and a movie theater. Great area to walk around shop and having lunch or dinner.

Shopping At International Plaza 

Located minutes from the airport, making it a great place to shop right when you get into town or as you’re heading out.

Clearwater Beach is about 20 miles from Tampa, making it an easy trip to the beach for the day. It’s a straight shot if you’re driving. It’s also a midpoint to the airport in between the two.
